Custom CNC machined aluminum self-centering safety flange for use with 3" center buffing wheels. Fit adjusted has been adjusted to match Hilzinger buffs exclusively, forgoing Osborn; virtually eliminates vibration and assures quick mounting of buffing wheels. Mounts directly without the need for an arbor nut. Updated with mounting and centering rings on both plates to minimize potential vibration.

Recommended for: our 10" x 3" center-less buffing wheels. To mount two center-less buffing wheels with a 3" center at the same time, you will need our Double Mount Self-Centering Safety Flange. To use center-less buffing wheels with a 5" center, you will need the XL Self-Centering Aluminum Safety Flange.

Typical Application: For mounting and securing a single 3” metal center wheel to portable grinders and polishers without the need for a shaft nut or a center reducer plate. These safety flanges were designed as a quick change system when mounting metal center buffing wheels to portable power and air tools with a 5/8”-11 threaded arbor. They are self-centering meaning the inside 3” center section of the bottom plate is raised to fit inside the clinch ring. This allows for tool-less installation, quicker mounts and dismounts, smooth and secure operation, and eliminates the need for a center reducer plate.
