Miniature self-centering flanges allow you to mount 19mm center buffing wheels, providing access to small areas under truck cabs or narrow recesses on cast parts.

Custom CNC machined aluminum self-centering safety flange for use with 19mm center buffing wheels.  Designed to fit Hilzinger-Thum 19mm center miniature airway buffs; mounts one buffing wheel - or two buffs simultaneously when used with an arbor extension (works best on small form factor variable speed grinders). Virtually eliminates vibration and assures quick mounting of buffing wheels. Mounts directly without the need for an arbor nut. Can be combined with 5/8-11 adapters for use on drills and flex-shaft tools.

Recommended for: Cut and color buffing in difficult to reach/small areas. For typical cut polishing with 3" center buffing wheels, we suggest our standard Self-Centering Safety Flange. To use buffing wheels with a 5″ center, you will need the XL Self-Centering Safety Flange.

Typical Application: For mounting and securing one to two 19mm metal center wheels to portable grinders and polishers without the need for a shaft nut or a center reducer plate. Combine with a 5/8"-11 adapter to use on drills, flex-shaft tools, and more!

About: These safety flanges were designed as a quick change system when mounting metal center buffing wheels to portable power and air tools with a 5/8”-11 threaded arbor. They are self-centering meaning the inside 19mm center section of each plate is raised to fit inside the clinch ring. This allows for tool-less installation, quicker mounts and dismounts, smooth and secure operation, and eliminates the need for a center reducer plate. Used with an arbor extension, capable of mounting two miniature buffing wheels with a face equal to a full size 10" buffing wheel.
