After a long wait, we're proud to introduce Spectrum Professional Series buffing wheels made by Hilzinger-Thum. These buffing wheels sport higher grades of raw material than are regularly available in North America; though they come at a greater cost, they more than make up for it through enhanced durability, efficiency, and - most importantly - finer finishes in less time/fewer steps. Please note that the cotton used in these buffs tends to hold compound much better than domestic fabrics - as a result, particularly after a break-in period, it's easier to accidentally overload your compound. A little goes a long way!
Many polishers subscribe to a two-step polishing process, but this is how maximum depth, colour, and clarity are achieved. By utilizing these secondary cut/colouring buffs (combined with medium cut & finishing compounds), you can more efficiently remove heavy-cut scratches from your surface and put colour into the metal before completing that "wet" look with finishing buffs and Super Finish compounds. Sporting Hilzinger’s special heavy weight 60/60 cloth, these buffs deliver a lighter cut with less hash than 86/82 and especially fast colouring action through a 20% weight advantage over standard 60/60 material. Stitching provides firmness for enhanced cut with reduced hash thanks to untreated material.
